Preparation of FEED Documents for the Masjed-I-Suleyman Oil Field

The Masjed-I-Suleyman (MIS) Oil Field, the first and oldest oil field in the Middle East, is located in Khuzestan Province, 85 kilometers northeast of Ahvaz. The original in-place oil volume of the Masjed-I-Suleyman Oil Field is 6.3 billion barrels while the in-place crude oil volume in northern area of this oil field is about 1.2 billion barrels.

The contract for the development and production plan of the northern area of the Masjed-I-Suleyman Oil Field has been signed by the National Iranian Oil Company with Sina Energy Holding after technical, contractual and financial negotiations. In August 2025, Sina Energy Holding has also assigned Hirgan Energy Engineering Company to prepare FEED Document, EIA and EPC Tender Packages for this project.

This project includes 15 new drilling wells (13 horizontal production wells and 2 appraisal wells), repairing, completing and work over on 5 existing wells productivity, repairing and commissioning the existing production unit, constructing access road and well pads, and constructing surface facilities including wellhead facilities, flow line and separators.

Contract services:

  • Preparation of ESHIA Report and obtaining approval from relevant organizations
  • Preparation of Passive Defense Report and obtaining approval from relevant organizations
  • Pre-Engineering Survey including (Site survey, Topography and geo-technical studies)
  • Study on Overhead Line and Power Distribution System
  • Preparation of documents related to Waste Management of 5 Workover Wells
  • Preparing documents related to the Metering System and Metering Station
  • Preparing documents related to the Utility Systems
  • Preparation of documents related to the system and unit for measuring the Dispatched Oil
  • FEED study including comprehensive and necessary research, alongside the generation of documentation, focused on the upgrade of existing facilities by considering the FTP and forecasted production rate of 1,000 barrels per day.
  • FEED study including preparation of report and documents related to 15 new wells and a Manifold area to produce 9,000 barrels of oil per day.
  • Preparation of MR and Purchase Documents for Long Lead items.
